The ICT@schools scheme of e-Vidyalaya programme has been started under OMSM – Odisha Madhyamik Sikshya Mission – (presently re-christened as OSEPA (Odisha School Education Programme Authority) to reach 4,000 government and government aided schools in the first phase. The programme is designed to bring e-learning to government schools in the state of Odisha.
The programme provides easy access of technology designed to help students learn beyond regular classroom studies beginning with the set-up of ICT Labs. Special training is also being imparted to the high school teachers to help them to use these hi-tech facilities to their full extent.
State of the art monitoring tools like GPS enabled data uploading are used to ensure that the ICT lab infrastructure is in full working condition and secure. Evidences of teachers’ learning, students’ learning, their data uploads, monitoring visits are recorded for future reference.
