Smart Lab & Smart Classroom Project at Keonjhar district

DEO Keonjhar decided to engage the services of OKCL to provide ICT services in 442 Government and Government aided schools in the district through implementation of “Provision of Digital Learning Technology in the high schools of Keonjhar district under DMF” in the district.

OKCL was engaged for provision of e-Content, teachers’ training and monitoring of ‘Smart Lab & Smart Classroom Project’ at Keonjhar.

In line with vision to transform the Government schools, the District Administration had launched the ‘High Schools Transformation’ programme in Keonjhar district. 442 Government high schools across 13 blocks in the district have a complete transformation of High Schools into integrated complexes of joyous learning under the ambitious programme as part of the 5T initiative.

These schools were equipped with State-of-art facilities such as Smart Labs, Smart classrooms. The focus was to have enhanced interactivity in a classroom using Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) on multimedia-based content resources platforms known as Smart Labs. Smart Labs are technology-enhanced classrooms that encourage opportunities for teaching and learning by integrating technology solutions to enable educators to develop and share content in real-time/off-line and empower students to play an active role in learning. Each Smart lab has high-end equipment like interactivity Smart Panel, laptop, video conferencing tools, Silent Generator, UPS, Servo Stabilizer, CCTV Surveillance etc. Each Smart Classroom has interactive panels, OPS in a frame with green board/white board, video conference tools, CCTV Surveillance etc.
