Capacity Building of DRGS on Digital Skill: OSEPA, Bhubaneswar
BACKGROUND:
OKCL organized 3 days training programme for the teachers/ HMs of Ganjam district at various assigned school locations under transformation of High Schools programme under 5T initiative in Ganjam. The goal of the Programme was to develop the Digital skills among the high school teachers and headmasters of Brundaban Govt. High School, Hinjilicut, Ganjam under 5T School transformation.
The 5T High School Transformation initiative of State enhanced the learning environment, standard of teaching and usher holistic development of the school through collaboration of parents, alumni and local community. By achieving this mandate, a better future for our students was ensured. Capacity building of teachers being one of the most important aspect for efficient use of State-of-art infrastructure at schools. Effective teachers’ training program can help teachers to become better at planning their time and staying organized. This ultimately made teachers more efficient and gives them extra time to focus on students. In order to support the assigned task forces in performing consistently towards the progress of transformation of high schools at Ganjam district under the 5-T charter.
REACH:
Implemented by the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) in the District of Jajpur in 2 Blocks.
There was a pre-assessment of all participants on Day 1. The post-assessment was then conducted at the end of the training i.e. on Day 6.

CHALLENGES
- ■ Infrastructure: Ensuring that all assigned school locations had the necessary infrastructure, including Smart Panels, Integrated Computer Projectors, and a suitable environment for training was challenging.
- ■ Scheduling Conflicts: Coordinating the training sessions with the busy schedules of teachers and headmasters might was a task.
- ■ Individualized Learning Needs: DRGS had varying levels of digital literacy and familiarity with technology. Addressing the diverse skill levels of these participants and customizing the training to meet individual needs was a challenge.
PROJECT OUTCOME
- ■ Robust hands on experience on usage of Smart Panel/Integrated Computer Projector.
- ■ It was observed that irrespective of the busy schedule DRGS from various block showed interest towards the 3 days training program which was very commendable.
- ■ It was effectively monitored that DRGS got proper hands on experience on the Smart teaching tools and learn the same for daily usage during teaching and learning process.
