BACKGROUND:

OKCL organized 3 days training programme for the District Resource Groups (DRGs) of all 30 Districts of Odisha at Gopabandhu Academy of Administration in Phase I & Phase II. The Programme was implemented to support the assigned task force in performing consistently towards the progress of transformation of High Schools in all Districts of the State under the 5-T Charter.

The programme intended to enable every teacher in ICT skills to not only use in their activities of facilitating the learning, but also to rejuvenate their professional attitudes and to create their own e-resources for their teaching-learning activities. The aim of the 3Day programme was to impart training and provide robust hands-on experience on usage of Smart Panel / TV / Integrated Computer Projector, 21st Century teaching tools using MS office and various Educational Apps.

REACH:

The Training Program was conducted in 2 Phases with the entire 3 days training for each Phase which was conducted with about 60 DRGS in each Phase.

There was a pre-assessment of all participants on Day 1. The post-assessment was then conducted at the end of the training i.e. on Day 3 for each Phase.

CHALLENGES

  • Scheduling Conflicts: Coordinating the training sessions with the busy schedules of DRGS was a task.
  • Individualized Learning Needs: DRGS had varying levels of digital literacy and familiarity with technology. Addressing the diverse skill levels of these participants and customizing the training to meet individual needs was a challenge.

PROJECT OUTCOME

  • Robust hands on experience on usage of Smart Panel/Integrated Computer Projector.
  • It was observed that irrespective of the busy schedule DRGS from various block showed interest towards the 3 days training program which was very commendable.
  • It was effectively monitored that DRGS got proper hands on experience on the Smart teaching tools and learn the same for daily usage during teaching and learning process.
